Hello. This blog was created to elaborate on my gap year exchange to Thailand. I am back in America now, but you might find a new post here once in a while.
Hello Jaz. Having read the comment above, I have to say... hrm, a bit harsh. But take yourself back to when you started this whole crazy adventure. It seemed like you were very optimistic in your earlier entries! I doubt I understand what you've gone through in a foreign country, but I have been alienated by peers in the past, and I understand what you're going through to that extent. I cannot judge you because I don't know you. But to give you my perspective: right now, I'm a high school sophomore waiting on the scholarship that will make or break my plans for exchange. My family can't afford the 'extra stuff' either; but in my eyes, just being in another country as 'more than a tourist' is the dream of a lifetime. I bet it used to be that way for you too. Then reality kicked in, and here we are. But please remember... there are still people that would give the world to be in your shoes right now. It will never be perfect, but I truly believe it could be good. Look out your window, and know that, even when you're locked indoors, you're seeing something a person like me might never see.
